Tip #25 - Get some SLEEP.

Your Golden Ticket to HEALTH

If there is one thing that is overlooked when it comes to health and wellness it is definitely sleep. I am sure you have heard the expression, “there is enough time for sleep in the grave.” If you take this approach, unfortunately the research suggests you are going to get to the grave much sooner. With so much going on in day to day life, sleep is the secret to recharging the system. This is when we heal and repair from the traumas of daily life, whether physical or mental.

Sleep has a tremendously positive impact on the immune system. Think about the last time you had the flu. You may have had the chills, been achy all over, and had a general sense of fatigue. This is your body telling you to get horizontal and close your eyes, so the immune system can go to work. The body is very good at delegating energy and the immune system can be metabolically expensive (requires a lot of energy), so the worst thing we can do is power through our day when we are feeling “under the weather”, and the smartest thing we can do is listen to our body and “sleep it off.”

We find “the more you know, the more you are likely to do.” So in today’s video, we are going to talk about the benefits of sleep and why it is vital to health and healing. Over the next couple days we are also going to give you some tips and tricks to ensure that you are getting quality/productive sleep. After all, a good night’s sleep could be the ticket to losing that 5 extra pounds, decreasing your stress, improving your energy, decreasing brain fog, improving detoxification, and preventing systemic inflammation (i.e. heart disease, atherosclerosis, diabetes, depression, arthritis, etc.)

Cheers to a restful night’s sleep. Here’s tip #25!
